Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire a **Area Supervisor** in **Hamilton, ON **for various sites in the region (Including Burlington, Ancaster, and Niagara areas).

**What you will do**
- Fully support the Regional and District Manager (RM/DM) in operational functions of various sites across the region.
- Knowledge of company/ client policies to deliver superior quality of operational services and to ensure the well-being of guards.
- Ensure site staff is fully trained, well-dressed, and possess the necessary knowledge to comprehend and follow their duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure guards are following Post-Orders and adhering to company and client policies.
- Delivery of resources to site as and when required and mentor guards to ensure high quality services are being provided.
- Cover floor time as required, comprising the majority of work hours.
- Support RM/DM with on-site issues, interruptions and complaints in the assigned district, as needed.
- Assist RM/DM to ensure all staff site reports are completed accurately and professionally, as needed.
- Assume leadership and maintain positive working relationships with site guards.
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons.
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports and all required documentation for security purposes.
- Identify security violations/ threats, diffuse volatile situations and intervene accordingly, adhering to company policies.
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required.
- A Valid Security License
- Experience with arrests and detainments
- Excellent communication skill
- Retail security experience.
- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Passionate about training and mentoring Guard staff
- Understand they will work shifts as required (32-40 hours/ week) in addition to occasional Supervisory duties across the region
- Use of Force Training - is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:
