**About the role**
We’re looking for a **Investigative Adjuster **to join** Investigative Services Unit (ISU)**. In this role, you will identify, adjust, analyze and investigate claims that require investigation with moderate to high levels of complexity.
**This is a hybrid-based position.**
**What you'll do here**:
- Evaluate concerns and fraud indicators to develop investigative plans for Property and/or Auto insurance claims that you will handle.
- Conduct all aspects of the investigations in collaboration with the Field Investigators while adjusting the claims with integrity and respect in a timely manner.
- Document the claim file by collecting appropriate reports and information from auto and property appraisers, third party adjusters, claimants, police, cause and origin experts, and any other pertinent specialists.
- Analyze the information gathered, and determine when sufficient information or evidence has been gathered to make coverage decisions
- Maintain up to date knowledge of insurance products as well as investigation techniques
- Identify process improvements and recommend changes to policies or procedures to maintain quality service and competitiveness
- Participate in projects lead by the Investigative Services Unit (ISU)
**What you bring to the table**:
- Minimum 3 years experience handling auto and/or property claims of moderate to high levels of complexity.
- Claims investigation experience is a strong asset
- Exceptional investigative interviewing and statement-taking skill
- Sharp analytical and decision-making skills and the ability to identify claims that require additional investigation
- Excellent time management and workload management skills and the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of learning new technology and computer systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and works effectively with a team environment
- Post-secondary education or CIP an asset
