VitalAire Canada is the Canadian home healthcare subsidiary of Air Liquide, the world leader in gasses, medical technologies and services for Industry and Healthcare. VitalAire empowers patients who have sleep apnea or require home oxygen therapy through ongoing respiratory support and compliance.
VitalAire is currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated Gas Management Representative for our Dartmouth branch. The Representative is responsible for providing service by maintaining, managing and coordinating the delivery, storage, inventory and usage of medical gases for distribution.
- Maintains cylinder gas inventory levels, in consultation with hospitals, by placing and processing orders for additional product in the system.
- Completes all required monthly billing summaries and reports required for billing purposes.
- Monitors and manages cylinder gas inventory.
- Ensures the separation of empties from fulls and ensures the stock is being rotated.
- Performs scheduled rounds to maintain par levels at all locations within the facility.
- Pickups and returns empty cylinders to storage area(s) to insure return to production facility.
- Monitors and receives cylinder gas deliveries to insure accurate delivery documentation.
- Changes out gas cylinders at the manifolds at the service sites.
- Makes initial evaluations and obtains proper assistance when confronted with problem situations.
- Responds to emergency situation to insure uninterrupted supply of product.
- Conducts cylinder audits at specified intervals.
- Provides inventory usage reports to the hospital.
- Accountable for the safety of all persons, and general public surrounding facilities.
- Completes the "Monthly Safety and Near Miss Report".

**_Here’s what you will need _**
- College Degree or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Training will be “in-house” and is required for cylinder handling and compressed gas
- Knowledge of record keeping and documentation. Ability to utilize the AS400 system to place orders and monitor cylinder balances. Thorough understanding cylinder gases and handling methods.
- Previous driving experience or handling dangerous goods
- Must possess a valid driver’s license G
