**Event Lead Server, Blue Flame Kitchen**

We’re looking for a fierce and friendly lead event server to join our diverse & vibrant team.

The Blue Flame Kitchen is our oldest brand, having been a part of Alberta for over 90 years. The Blue Flame Kitchen (or BFK as we call it), provides classes, recipes, take away meals, catering and delicious café services. If you want to help fuel and inspire home chefs across the world, roll up your sleeves and join our team in a super collaborative environment with a diverse team who loves to find ways to connect — both inside the office and outside the kitchen. Days and hours are business dependent, but the hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 6am - 3am.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Operations, Blue Flame Kitchen, the event lead server will work alongside the Supervisor, Operations to organize and coordinate the setup and breakdown of all events and programs at the ATCO Blue Flame Kitchen. This role is responsible for providing a warm, friendly, and hospitable welcome to our guests and providing direction and oversight to the event serving team. This is a **25 - 35 hours per week** role. A typical schedule can include shifts Monday through Sunday, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

**On a daily basis, you’ll.**
- Provide direction and oversight to event layout and operational execution.
- Direct point of contact to external vendors/suppliers for events upon arrival at facility.
- Meet and liaise with client contacts.
- Collaborate with events coordinator on client needs and deliverables.
- Work alongside server team to setup and teardown of our events & classes.
- Serve food and beverages during events/programs.
- Work alongside chefs/cooks in our event space.
- Maintain a clean and orderly dining/event area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wellness.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, guests, and clientele.

**What you have**:

- AGLC Pro Serve
- 2 -4 years’ experience in a restaurant/hotel/hospitality environment
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Food and recipe knowledge is an asset, but not required.
- Event operations & serving experience is an asset.
- POS Systems experience is an asset.
- May be required to pass a Vulnerable Sector Search to work with our kids for summer camps.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to perform duties quickly and under pressure.
- Honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior

This role is located at ATCO Center in Calgary.
