IT Service Desk Technician

**Core Responsibilities**:

- Operate as first point of contact for IT service requests and incidents, providing first-line investigations and diagnosis;
- Maintain IT service ticket and asset management systems;
- Support core ITIL service support processes;
- Exhibit strong analytical skills;
- Escalates both functional and hieratic incidents and service requests as needed;
- Communicates effectively with team members and end users;
- Close out all tickets and incidents reported;
- Provides quality training for new users during onboarding period;
- Delivers IT support for physical moves;
- Assists users with audio/visual equipment setup and teardown as well as photocopier and printer issues;
- Participates in health and stability maintenance of all user systems;
- Participates in regular scheduled maintenance and outreach;
- Follows user access protocols;
- Coordinates disposal of surplus equipment in alignment of Government policies;
- Works closely with other team members to identify and troubleshoot technical issues and record update supporting documentation;
- Updates the Configuration Management System (CMS) under the direction and approval of management;
- Available to participate in maintenance and disaster recovery efforts as required;
- When required, act as back-up for other team members; and
- Provides multi-platform IT support: iOS, Windows, OS.

**Qualifications**
- Must have 3-5 years of experience working in a corporate service desk environment;
- College diploma and/or university degree in an IT discipline;
- Specialized knowledge/professional certification in MS 365, OS, iOS, and Windows environments; and
- ITIL certification is considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
