**The Opportunity**
To support our customers growth and our forecast workload within Western Canada, Wajax Calgary has made significant capital investment to added new capacities to our existing portfolio.
This new opportunity will support our expansion to hydraulic cylinder repairs and rebuilds. Including remanufacturing of cylinders and their components. Working in our Calgary facility, the role will be responsible for completing these tasks using mostly manual machines.
**The Role**
- Sets up and operates a variety of machine shop equipment including manual lathes, milling machines, rod polishers, hones, etc
- Manufacture new hydraulic cylinder components including barrels, rods, heads, and pistons
- Rebuilding of worn cylinder components
- General machining.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly and performs basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Understands and adheres to all organizational health and safety policies and procedures and ensures the safety of self and others.
- Education: Machinist Interprovincial Red Seal and Trades Qualification preferred
- Work Experience: 2-3 years post qualification
- Knowledge: Basic hydraulics, manual machine processes
