**THE ROLE**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at K.A. Group, a leading manufacturer specializing in scraper equipment. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components for our scraper manufacturing process. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining techniques.
**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce components according to blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
- Select appropriate tools, inserts, and fixtures for each job and perform tool changes as necessary.
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software such as Inventor HSM, Fusion 360 to efficiently produce parts with tight tolerances.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are being produced within specified dimensions and quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production personnel to optimize manufacturing processes and resolve any issues that arise during production.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
- TPM Performs routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
- Production and efficiency, responsible to achieve the daily standards.
- Lean Manufacturing
- continue to grow lean knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement, KPI boards,
- 5S- Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to a like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures.
- Reports to the Team Leader of the machine shop
- Quality
- 100% responsible for inspections and documentation.
**QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- Technical degree or certificate in machining or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining techniques.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Inventor HSM, Fusion 360 or similar programs.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and measurements accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
