**Position Summary**
Under the direction of the Director, Career Services and Co-operative Education and working closely with the Manager, Career Development Projects and Operations, the Coordinator for Career Services coordinates the daily operation of a team of Employment Advisors on initiatives that support the College’s commitment to the 3E’s: Enrolment, Empowerment, and Employment. The Coordinator is instrumental in designing activities that support the career development of students and their transition to employment, as aligned with the College’s strategic priorities.

The incumbent coordinates services and programming for Career Services’ four client groups: students, faculty and staff, alumni, and employers. In consultation with the Director, and in partnership with the Manager and Employment Advisors, the Coordinator will develop, implement and evaluate career-integrated learning programs that provide opportunities for students to develop employability skills, build their professional network and establish connections with employers.

The Career Services Coordinator builds and sustains partnerships with key areas, including the Centennial College Students’ Association Incorporated (CCSAI), Student Experience and Success, International Education, Academic Schools, and others.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Career Services team: staffing, schedules, and service delivery.
- Guide and advise team on offering quality individual and group services and facilitate weekly team meetings
- Coordinate workshop/webinar requests from various internal stakeholders, e.g. Faculty, International, Alumni, Centre for Accessible Learning and Counselling Services (CALCS) etc.
- Liaise with Marketing to develop promotional materials to promote services and events
- Attend meetings and participate in working committees to represent the voice of Career Services, e.g. Employment Outcomes for Students with Disabilities, Program Coordinating Team
- Represent Centennial at Ontario College Career Educators (OCCE) networking group through contributions on Listserv communications and attendance at annual conferences
- Consider a range of career development theories, adult learning styles, and workshop/webinar best practices to develop programs that provide intentional and meaningful opportunities for career exploration, learning and development
- Gather data to inform program development; design pilot programs to address diverse students’ employment needs in collaboration with stakeholders; develop an evaluation framework to measure program outcomes and student satisfaction
- Plan various career initiatives and monitor expenditures for events such as Career Week and the annual Grad Conference
- Conduct regular progress checks with Employment Advisors, Job Developers, and Marketing Assistant to ensure smooth event planning and execution. Debrief and gather student and employer feedback following career events
- Support Director and Manager in hiring new team members and participate in interview committees, as needed
- Train and supervise interns and student volunteers
- Develop presentations and materials to promote Career Services to internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate team meetings in a manner that builds community, attends to operational details, and fosters progress towards strategic goals

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Four (4) year degree in Social Sciences (e.g. Career Development, Adult Education, Human Resources) or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in a student or employment services advising environment
