**Project Details**:
Position: Contract

Locations: Edmonton, Regina, Calgary

Duration: 6-12 months

Starts: Early January 2025

**A Day in the Life**

As an **Electrical LOTO Authority**, your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Implementing and managing electrical LOTO programs** to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- **Conducting risk assessments and hazard analysis** to identify potential electrical hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
- **Training and mentoring teams** on LOTO procedures, ensuring they understand and adhere to safety protocols.
- **Auditing and inspecting job sites** to verify compliance with LOTO standards and addressing any deviations.
- **Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and electricians** to integrate LOTO protocols seamlessly into project workflows.
- **Maintaining accurate records and documentation**, including permits, LOTO logs, and safety compliance reports.
- **Troubleshooting and resolving electrical safety issues** to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- **Collaborating with stakeholders** to develop and continuously improve LOTO procedures and practices.

**What You’ll Bring to the Team**

To excel in this position, you’ll need:

- Proven experience in implementing and managing electrical LOTO programs in an industrial setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and guide teams.
- Certification in electrical safety or related fields (e.g., **Journeyman Electrician Certification**, **Red Seal Certification**, or equivalent).
- Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analysis.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
