MasTec is currently recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor in Edmonton and the surrounding area _**with an immediate start date,**_ to join its Industrial Division. _**This is a three (3) month camp based role north of Fort St. John, on a rotational schedule with 10 days on, 4 days off**_.

Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities related to construction project with the goal to complete work ahead of schedule, within budget and specifications. The duties will vary by client and project size with varying degrees of responsibility and authority and may assist with planning or directing a whole project or just part of a project.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Demonstrate leadership in promoting overall compliance with MasTec EH&S standards, applicable OH&S Acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors
- Develop, maintain and drive the construction schedule in conjunction with the project and operations team to ensure budgets and timelines are met
- Maintain strong working relations with client representatives, subcontractors, suppliers and labor force
- Collaborate with client/owner in order to meet cost and schedule objectives
- Provide oversight for the timely delivery, receipt, and quality of materials
- Understand project documents and convey this information to the construction workforce
- Support the Project Manager by ensuring all foreman comply with project management deliverables
- Strategically plan and implement resource requirements to meet/exceed crew productivity levels and schedule milestone dates
- Investigate and resolve contract disputes by making recommendations to management for final action
- Recommend best practice improvements for production, performance, quality and safety
- Must be able to recognize any changes to work plan and track accordingly
- Check quality of completed work and support Company quality directives
- Ensure that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly
- Ensure field process is in place to train the workforce on all safe job procedures and critical tasks
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and stakeholders to encourage repeat and referral business
- Facilitate technical and safety training and send employees to appropriate training as needed
- Supervise and assist in onboarding all assistant superintendents and project foreman
- Supervise workforce
- Act as a role model for, and behave in ways that are aligned with, MasTec’s Core values of Teamwork, Excellence, Respect, Duty, Integrity and Protect, while encouraging other to do so as well
- All other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- 10+ years of experience in electrical oilfield, industrial or facility construction
- 3+ years in a leadership capacity as an Electrical Supervisor
- Proficient in a practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certificate is required

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
