**Job Summary**
Kindred Spirits Day School, a small private elementary school is looking for a full-time School Chef to manage and execute our kitchen operations, ensuring all students and staff are fed each school day.

Our menu is 100% vegetarian, made with organic, non-GMO whole foods. We promote healthy eating each and every day, and often get the kids in the kitchen to cook with some of our support staff.

We need someone to start by November 1st.

Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook food for 80+ people, being mindful of dietary restrictions and allergies
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development, focusing on nutritious options
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Monitor food inventory and preparing weekly grocery lists
- Ensure proper food storage and handling procedures are followed

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to commute to East Gwillimbury, ON each day
- Cooking experience of 3 years (minimum), including experience with batch cooking
- Valid Ontario Food Handler Certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cedar Valley, ON L0G 1E0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 3 years (required)
- Food preparation: 3 years (required)
- Kitchen experience: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
