As our HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will be a trusted advisor, partner, and coach to our Crew and Site teams at the Vancouver studio as well as across North America. Reporting to the Head of HR - North America, your extensive people and culture experience working in a creative, technical, and fast-paced environment allows you to adapt and grow with the flow of our dynamic industry. You will use your active listening skills to build a strong foundation of trust with our leaders and team members, and provide consistent and creative people strategies for the DNEG Life Cycle including talent development, performance management, training and development, and wellness programs.

**Your Top Three Focus Areas**:

- Provide coaching and guidance to our leaders and team on creating a positive and fulfilling workplace experience at DNEG
- Proactively support leaders on how to grow and develop themselves and their team members in a constantly changing and creative culture
- Partner and align with other global HR leaders and teams to uphold the unique DNEG experience across the whole company of 9,000 team members

**A Typical Week in this Role**:

- Meet 1:1 with your Business Partners and internal clients to solve issues and share key HR data to support the team’s development
- Advise leaders on specific people management challenges related to career development, performance, compensation or workforce planning
- Team meeting with the HR Business Partners and HR Ops for a coordination and status updates
- Work on developing or enhancing HR Programs such as Performance Management, Learning & Development, and Career Development - with North American or global scope
- Partner with the HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards & HRIS, and Finance teams to deliver great a employee experience and support to the teams

**What You Bring**:

- Minimum of 5 years experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Advisor, People Partner, People Operations Partner, Generalist, or a similar role in a creative and/or technical environment
- Keen understanding of Employment Legislation in BC; additional experience with other jurisdictions most welcome
- A lifelong learner with post-secondary education or equivalent experience in Human Resources, business or a related field
- Clear communication with strong active listening, empathy, and compassion skills
- Resourceful self-starter with a commitment to providing excellent and timely HR support
- Ability to manage difficult conversations and situations professionally and with high integrity
- Highly organized, operationally focused, and with strong attention to detail - balancing people and process experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and sensitive information
- Seeks to develop as an individual and as a team by asking and providing honest and authentic feedback
- Collaborative and passionate about cultivating trusting relationships
- People-centric and focused on creating meaningful workplace experiences
- Strategic outlook to support the objectives and goals for both the HR team and the business
- Knowledge and experience with immigration and global mobility is an asset
