**ADMINISTRATION OFFICER (Complaints Officer)**

**SPECIAL PROJECT 20% (June 1 - 30, 2024 with possibility of extension)**

**NATURE OF THE WORK**:
**SOME CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES**:

- The person in the position of administrative officer will take care, amongst other things, of all complaints pursuant to the **_National Student Ombudsman Act _**as the “Complaints Officer” (_“Responsable du traitement des plaintes RTP_”) as well complaints received pursuant to New Frontier’s By Law JCEA**_ _**“Examination of Complaints” as well as any other complaints referred to them.
- The administration officer develops, drafts, plans, applies, oversees and updates the administrative regulations, directives, procedures and processes related to the implementation of activities related to the management of one or several administrative units.
- The person collaborates in the development, implementation and update of computer programs and systems related to his or her field of activity. He or she prepares and provides training to staff on use of software.
- The person recommends the standards and procedures appropriate to the needs identified and evaluates the results.
- The person will participate in the development of processes and tools to ensure the implementation of administrative procedures related to the management of complaint handling.
- The person will coordinate the processing of complaints, in collaboration with the team in place, and ensure processing in the deadlines set and according to the applicable policy.
- The person will validate the information received, question and issue recommendations, for all establishments and services that may be affected and will recommend possible solutions for the continuous improvement of practices within the organization.
- The person will collaborate in the implementation of organizational compliance processes and will participate in the development of a risk management plan.
- The person will report directly to the Director General.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate specialty, notably human resources, law, or administration

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
Excellent English and French language skills, both written and oral

**ASSET**:

- A background in conflict resolution (mediation, arbitration, negotiation)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

**SALARY**:
In accordance with the Professionals’ Agreement: $47,886.00 to $79,426.00 per 35-hour week, according to qualifications and experience.
