Peterborough, Canada PENTACORE DEVELOPMENT LTD. Full time

**Position Overview**:
This is a project-based contract for a minimum of 12-18 months, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, at the construction site located in Peterborough, Ontario.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to guide construction activities.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation and expenditure monitoring to maintain financial efficiency.
- Perform regular quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Lead and provide direction to on-site personnel, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment.
- Promptly address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site, ensuring smooth progress.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. Additional certifications are an asset.
- Must reside in Peterborough, Ontario, or any neighboring cities with a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in construction management or a similar supervisory role, with a successful track record in personnel and project management.
- Experience supervising construction projects over 3-storeys. References from previous projects are required.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, estimating construction costs, budgeting, and quality control.
- In-depth knowledge of Ontario Building Codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with sound decision-making capabilities.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Expected hours: 40 per week
