WEM is a not-for-profit organization that provides training and foundational skills under the government of Canada’s Skills for Success framework.

Workplace Education Manitoba (WEM) Centres are located throughout Manitoba and focus on adult client assessments and training in their journey towards success in:

- Apprenticeship and trades
- Skills for the next job
- Current careers

WEM provides Skills for Success programming, to support you at work or in your training. We offer flexibility and have programs that are offered on evenings and weekends, and different times of the day.

Programs are directed at developing the nine Skills for Success including Reading, Writing, Numeracy, Digital Skills, Problem-solving, Communication, Creativity and Innovation, Collaboration and Adaptability.

WEM Centres offer face-to-face classroom-style training as well as online training through a virtual classroom. Clients work through an individualized training plan alongside an instructor to focus on their unique learning goals.

**WEM Centre Site Coordinator (Contract role)**

We are currently seeking an individual who is passionate about working with our learners, Service Providers (WEM Centre Instructors) and staff. Reporting to the WEM Regional Manager, the Site Coordinator will support learning processes, program development, evaluation, and learner referrals.

**Job Role**:
To manage activities, coordinate with Service Providers (WEM Centre Instructors) and perform required administrative duties in a continuous intake structure. Monitor and assist in the planning and delivery of the Skills for Success Training.

**Qualifications**:

- Administration Certification or Diploma in a related field/job or 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information and data in a secure manner.
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to be forward-looking, identify change and be innovative.
- Detail-orientated and works with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology skills with knowledge and understanding of Microsoft suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Computers.
- Have both independent and teamwork skills to be able to be flexible and responsible.
- Experience in providing instructions to meet the needs of various learners is an asset.
- Familiar with the Government of Canada’s Skills for Success framework and how it applies to workplace training.
- First Aid and CPR certification will be an asset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Aid in the day-to-day management of the WEM Centre and assist in organizing, planning, and scheduling WEM training and programming.
- Support new and existing Service Providers (WEM Centre Instructors) with Skills for Success awareness, and program delivery.
- Establish first contact with learners and evaluate the needs of each learner during the intake process to determine if they are a good fit for WEM Centre Upskilling.
- Schedule Essential Skills Assessment, intakes, and follow-up appointments for participants.
- Evaluate learner progress using assessment practices and debriefing learner about assessments results.
- Check in with learners to see if they have any issues related to their training and inform Service Providers (WEM Centre Instructors) of any findings or required changes.
- Must be professional and maintain good relationships with referral agencies.
- Update learner profiles with upskilling results, outcomes and services attended.
- Prepare ongoing periodic reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually) and a summary of participant progress and statistics.
- Photocopy materials as needed.
- Prepare end-of-program certifications.
- Schedule and plan WEM Centre meetings for Service Providers (WEM Centre Instructors).
- Record and prepare minutes of meetings.
- Must be able to travel in the Interlake Region (have access/own a vehicle to travel)
- Administrative support and other duties as assigned.
