Customer Service Representative

North York, Canada Carmen Transportation Full time

**Job Duties**
- Assist customers with standard account-related requests.
- Provide information to customer inquiries.
- Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between departments when necessary.
- Process necessary paperwork including customs.
- Maintain and update company profile as required in TMS.
- Enter orders in Dispatch Software
- Assist as needed with processing and sending necessary paperwork for customs clearance via ACE/ACI web portal.
- Update work orders relating to customer revisions (extra charges, dates, time)
- Scheduling of pick-up and delivery appointments at shipping and delivery locations respectively
- Digital Imaging
- Update customer web portals
- Perform other duties as necessary

**Skills/Requirements**
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection-handling skills
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Proven data entry and typing skills.
- Transportation industry experience is an asset.

**Education**
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A certificate or diploma in a related field is preferred.
- Cross-border Customs clearance experience is an asset.
- Customs Certification (CCS) is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$26.00 per hour
