**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and storage areas.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods.
- Follow proper procedures for food storage, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and occasional evenings as needed.
- Food Handlers and Smart Serve certified.
Pay: $18.10-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
