The upcoming retirement of the long-term Executive Director is providing the Board of Directors with a rare opportunity to explore a variety of possibilities for our direction, agency oversight and accountability in the next 5 - 10 years. We are looking for a motivated individual to provide stability, oversight and support to the youth programs and services offered at the 70 Hunter Street location and be an integral part of the Management Team in shaping our vision moving forward. Site.

**Job Objectives**:
To provide leadership and supervision to youth, educational and community programs and services.

Foster strong external relationships with community partners on behalf of JHS

Work collaboratively with the CEO and Management Team to support the advancement of JHS through a change process

Agency Transition:

- Embrace a dynamic change process and collaborate with senior management
- Support change management at the organizational level
- Assess readiness and support staff through transitions
- Communicate with staff, management team, community
- Track and report challenges, opportunities

Operations;
- Responsibility for day-to-day operation of programs, and operations provided at 70 Hunter St W.
- Ensure accurate statistics & administrative reports are submitted in a timely manner.
- Supervise staff: responsive to requests & concerns,
- Lead recruitment & selection and orientation of new staff.
- Monitor workplace health, safety, & Employment Standards.
- Develop & implement long-term program goals with CEO, management team, & program staff so programs increasingly engage best practices, ensure responsiveness to client needs, & successfully achieve program outcomes.Additional Training, & Professional Experience
- Training in anti-racism, anti-oppressive & trauma/resilience informed practices.
- Knowledge of employment legislation: ESA, OHSA, AODA
- Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and implement programs and services
- Experience in proposal writing

Community Relationships
- Represent JHS Peterborough in community meetings & with community partners.
- Support the awareness of JHS Peterborough programs through public relations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months

**Salary**: $65,000.00 per year
