Summary

The Health & Safety Administrator will provide administrative support to all Health and Safety and environmental related initiatives at the head office, in the warehouse, shop and on worksites, ensuring all employees are provided with a safe work environment. This role will also be responsible for achieving and maintaining compliance with company, customer and regulatory guidelines. The Health & Safety Administrator will promote and foster accident prevention through continuous review of conditions and behaviors.

Job Duties
- Promote and foster with all personnel, the attitude that Health & Safety first is paramount in everything we do
- Support the health and safety team with all administrative tasks related to employee safety and their projects
- Revise the safety manual to ensure information is up to date
- Maintain the Prequalification systems (i.e., ISNETworld, Avetta, etc.)
- Perform a variety of monthly inspections (i.e., fire extinguishers, AED, etc.)

Position Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in a related field (i.e., Occupational Health and Safety, Certified Safety Engineer)
- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives
- Detail-orientated, organized and accurate
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new systems
- Ability to travel locally for work; a valid G driver’s license and own vehicle required
- Ability to work flexible schedule as projects require including some weekend, early morning/evening hours.
- Must be able to obtain and retain Security Clearance, as required
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is an asset
