Claims Management Coordinator, Workers' Compensation

Employees can be absent from work for a variety of reasons: casual absence, work-related illness and/or injury, or health issues requiring the employee to be away from the work place for an extended period. Our absence management program helps employers strategically manage those absences
- focusing on reducing overall costs, realizing administrative efficiency, and enhancing support for employees - all with the goal of returning employees to health and productivity.
**Responsibilities**:
General Administration Duties
- Follow up with Boards on missing information;
- Create new logs for injuries/illnesses;
- Process payment to physicians for Return-to-Work Restrictions Reports;
- Other duties as needed.
Payment Processing
- Validate, download, and process all invoices for payment
Creating Hearing Loss Files
- Create new hearing loss injury file in SAP;
- Gather work history from SAP and PACS;
- Send audiogram and employment history to WCB;
- Scan documents to file.
Other duties
- Officer orders, Purolator letters, shredding invoices, arranging medical appointments, misc.
Succeeding as a Claims Management Coordinator, Workers' Compensation will require the following core qualifications and skills:
- 0-2 years of experience in an administrative/clerical or occupational injury management role or in other relevant fields;
- Post-secondary education in health management, absence and disability management, or other relevant training is an asset;
- Self-starter, initiative and excellent organizational skills;
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines despite a significant volume of work and deal routinely with unexpected request from clients or team consultants;
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer-service focus;
- Proficiency with the MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
