**What You Will do**:
The People & Talent Business Partner is responsible for leading day-to-day activities of the HR function for designated locations. The Business Partner works closely with leadership and managers to implement HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the organization’s goals. The role involves advising on employee relations and talent management strategies.
- Provide advice and practical solutions to managers and employees on complex workplace issues, including performance management, employee conduct, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior, while ensuring compliance with company policies, collective agreements, and labour laws.
- Oversee the disability management process, ensuring timely and effective coordination of workplace accommodations, and return-to-work plans in compliance with legal requirements for employees.
- Partner with hiring managers to build an effective onboarding program that supports the integration of new hires to increase time to productivity and overall engagement.
- Build partnerships with colleges, universities, and associations to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with Learning & Development to deliver value-added programs in areas of training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
- Support the annual merit and incentive review process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, collective agreements, provincial labor laws, and ethical standards.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma, or a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources
- Certified Human Resources Professional Designation or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a business partner or generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex employee relations issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information when working on sensitive communications.
