**Job Description**:
The Coordinator will support the External Relations Team and Public Affairs team’s success, and play a strong role in supporting external digital communications channels. With organizational reputation in mind, you will also directly support various special project teams at Extendicare as a trusted communications advisor.

Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Draft, coordinate and post content across multiple external channels, including our websites and social media channels- Collaborate with our Marketing team to ensure all external communications reflect our brand and design standards- Share responsibility for media and issues monitoring. Create and distribute a daily media report, for circulation across the organization.- Support event and presentation execution for external audiences- Participate in planning and brainstorming to continually bring fresh ideas and approaches to external communications for the organization- Support ongoing analytics and reporting for external communications initiatives and channels, to measure effectiveness and drive continuous learning and improvement- Coordinate with internal partners to source and prepare content that helps tell engaging stories to media, social media, sector and government audiences- Be open to continually evolving our approaches to best meet our internal stakeholders’ needs

Experience and Qualifications- Undergraduate degree in Communications, English or comparable experience.- Familiarity with public affairs, government, media, social media, and/or the health care system- Experience writing for a wide range of audiences and with strong attention to detail- Ability to edit and work with website content management systems (e.g. WordPress)- Experience with social media posting and monitoring (Hootsuite, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram)- Familiarity with video editing tools an asset- Familiarity with Google Analytics an asset- Experience with MS Office, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint- Thrives in fast-paced, issue-driven and team-based environment, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly- Ability to quickly shift priorities, manage competing timelines and be relentless in getting the job done with colleagues who care deeply about their work in making a difference by Helping People Live Better
