TD Securities’ Private Debt Group is a ten-member team, which sits in Toronto and New York and is part of the Global Debt Capital Markets group. The team delivers innovative financing solutions through deep understanding of private markets and provides bond underwriting, bond and debt arrangement, financial advisory, ratings advisory and inaugural issuance advisory services to its diversified base of investment grade and high yield clients.

**Requirements**:
While the learning curve is steep, this position requires the person to have good fundamental skills in (but not limited to):
- Analyzing corporations’ creditworthiness
- Developing and structuring debt solutions for issuers
- Understanding legal documents
- Developing transaction marketing materials in capital markets
- Understanding public and private debt transactions, including ratings, covenants, terms, issuer expectations, and investor expectations
- Team building skills as the group works with multiple teams across the bank (investment banking, equity capital markets, corporate credit, M&A, etc.) and varied management team members at our client firms
- In-depth understanding of the workings of the Canadian and U.S. debt capital markets
- Client relationship development, including participating in client pitches and taking responsibility for select portions of debt transactions
