**Job Description**:

- The Capital Markets arm of CIBC provides integrated capital markets products, investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government, institutional and retail clients around the world. Our goal is to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and the lead relationship bank for key clients globally. CIBC Capital Markets consists of three lines of business; Global Markets, Global Investment Banking and Corporate Banking.

Working directly for the Private Capital coverage lead within Global Markets, the incumbent will support the distribution of derivatives and select financing products for Private Equity, Growth Equity, Venture Capital and Private Credit clients globally. The role operates in a fast-paced trading floor environment as part of a dynamic, hardworking, production-focused sales team. The incumbent’s mandate is to provide exceptional service and support to the Private Capital coverage effort and the individual must be a trusted partner, providing dedicated support for each district within their geographic coverage area.

How you’ll succeed- Work closely with team, traders, RMG, risk, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking to develop appropriate solutions and timely execution of transactions-
- Determine and provide product / rate information to our clients in a timely manner with exemplary service-
- Support broad client coverage effort by developing presentations, modelling transactions and creating / maintaining associated client coverage databases and information sources-
- Monitor/track and analyze market activities, economic factors, on an ongoing basis throughout the day to be in a position to respond to client requests-
- On your own initiative, develop product knowledge through directed or self-directed study. Be prepared to cross train when the appropriate time arises, as suggested by management. Share any developed skills, knowledge, ideas with management and other members of the Corporate Solutions Group. Attend learning sessions held by the Trading Room as requiredWho You Are- Minimum 3 years related experience; MBA, CFA or other relevant professional designation preferred-
- Experience with interest rate derivatives, financial statement analysis, funding/debt management-
- CSC and CPH considered an asset-

- Strong overall knowledge of Capital Markets with sufficient knowledge of the financial services industry / regulatory environment-
- Excellent analytical and intellectual capabilities; ability to draft comprehensive presentations using advanced frameworks in PowerPoint, Excel and Word-
