**Wage**: Salary scale for a Language Teacher III starts at $83,421 (as of May 1, 2023).

Salary scale for a Language Teacher IV starts at $92,280 (as of May 1, 2023).

**Required Skills**:

- Expertise in the theoretical and practical aspects of language pedagogy with a specialization in curriculum design for English language education.
- Demonstrated engagement in scholarly and professional activities that can support the design and oversight of the curriculum for programs of study at OLBI as well as cross-disciplinary initiatives linked to internationalization, university-level immersion, English language development, and the promotion of Francophonie and bilingualism.
- Graduate degree in applied linguistics, second/foreign-language acquisition or a related field.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching at a post-secondary institution (with a minimum 2 years of experience).
- Experience working in a research-focused environment and a record of scholarly work and materials development.
- Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively and with diverse populations.
- At the time of tenure, professors are expected to have the ability to function in a bilingual setting and to achieve active bilingualism in both official languages. English-French bilingualism is thus an asset.
