We support a national network of young leaders as they work to revolutionize mental health in their communities. Our network of 3,000 (and counting) young people across Canada is as busy as ever, and our staff of 75 humans and 3 dogs are working just as hard - albeit from the comfort and safety of their own homes for the time being

Our staff has been working hard to pivot our programs to meet the needs of young people in this challenging time. And, like we do every summer, we are keen to get an extra boost to our team by bringing on a cohort of interns to help across the organization.

This paid internship runs from **May 1st - August 31st, 2023**. This is a remote position, and we encourage applicants from across Canada to apply.

**In this role, you will get to**:

- Research and analyze prospective donors and funding opportunities to support the fundraising teams;
- Ensure a positive supporter experience, and assist in any tracking or troubleshooting associated with donations, including tax receipts, reports or proposals
- Coordinate and perform acknowledgement and stewardship of gifts, donor/fundraiser data tracking, and other record-keeping in Salesforce.
- Assist the broader development team with stewardship and recognition programs as the need arises.
- Assist with data management, research for process revisions, and administrative tasks.
- Lend a hand to our busy team wherever it’s needed

**We’re looking for someone who**:

- Is a quick learner and is responsible, reliable, and resourceful
- Has outstanding problem-solving, project management, and organizational capabilities
- Is a keen and enthusiastic person who is looking to make an impact
- Is familiar with research techniques; willing to learn how to use new resources
- Has the ability to develop written reports to communicate finding
- Is extremely detail-oriented
- Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity in fast-paced environments
- Has a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and collaborate
- Is proficient in Microsoft Suite and G-Suite products
- Has previous experience with fundraising activities would be an asset
- Has working competency in written and spoken French would be great but not required
- Has experience working with a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) would be ideal but not a must
- Has knowledge of the mental health landscape for young people in Canada would be an asset

**Please note**: this opportunity will be funded through Canada Summer Jobs, and all applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for this position:

- Be between **15 and 30 years **of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
