Toronto, Canada Chelsea Hotel Full time

Job Summary
- To ensure cleanliness and neat appearance of all garage levels and surrounding exterior areas of the hotel building (sidewalks, patios, exits, bus park lanes etc.)
Requirement
- **_Principal Responsibilities_***
- Beginning of shift obtains a pager/radio, checks for proper operation and marks the number on the signing sheet.
Checks the maintenance board daily for special work assigned.
Cleans the front and back areas of the Hotel, removes debris, flower bed or snow (sidewalks, taxi stands, by-lanes, bus park lane on the west side of building, patios, terraces, rooftops, all exits, and fire hydrants) on a daily basis or as directed on the Yardman Duty Schedule.
Remove and bag trash from all exterior locations including clearing/cleaning in and around garbage bins.
Sweeps and cleans all garage levels and ramps from the main entrance down to the 5th level including cleaning out all garbage bins in these areas including parking elevator lobbies (floors, garbage bins, elevator doors); cleaning parking stairwells (sweeping and mopping)
Periodically power wash garage walls, traffic mirrors, stones, pipes and light fixtures.
Observes all fire and safety regulations.
Replaces fused light bulbs parking garage around the exterior of the hotel, including canopy lights.
Daily sweeps and cleans the Maintenance Shop.
Sweeps and cleans all mechanical, electrical rooms and equipment, including the maintenance storerooms as per schedule.
Wash, clean, and refuel all equipment, after use.
Complies with Hotel Policies and Procedures including Health and Safety.
Performs other tasks as assigned by Management.

Working experience in a janitorial or similar field.

must hold a “G” Driver’s Licence

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kgs).

- Agility to bend, lift, squat, stretch and kneel as required.
- Able to work in all types of adverse climate conditions (extreme cold, extreme heat and high humidity, etc.).
