**Role**: Manager, Communications and Community Outreach
**Status**: Contract (16 Months)
**Reports to**: Senior Manager, Internal Communications
**Department**: Human Resources
**Location**: Hybrid - Markham
If you excel in collaboration, embrace change, and drive innovation, Enercare has an exciting role for you Enercare Inc. seeks a highly motivated and energetic Manager, Communications and Community Outreach to join our team.
This individual will be a team player with exceptional interpersonal, communication and writing skills, project management experience and experience running events.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leads and oversees the rollout, maintenance, and evolution of our new Intranet Platform (SharePoint OnPrem to SharePoint Online), including internal campaigns, story mining, content creation, editing and posting.
- Leads and oversees the rollout and evolution of our new Community Outreach Program at the national and local levels, building and managing employee volunteerism, sponsorship and donations efforts.
- Works closely with our Chief Operating Officer to develop and deliver quarterly video series
- Contributes to internal communications planning and execution
- Creates, develops, and edits content that informs and inspires employees, including but not limited to newsletters, videos, scripts, surveys, and digital signage
- In conjunction with marketing, regularly contributes to the shared social media editorial calendar using sound judgment to identify, edit, write, and prepare internal news for external visibility.
- Contributes to the planning and development of communication strategies and tactics that effectively communicate the company strategy, particularly as it relates to our new company Ambition, Purpose, Values and Environmental, Social and Governance Commitments
- Work with various units to deliver high-quality internal communications materials, including special announcements and key messages.
- Leads company-wide employee recognition events and initiatives, including the annual Spirit Awards and Years of Service Celebrations
- Plays a key role in supporting the annual Kickoff Meeting, quarterly Town Halls, mid-year All-Hands and annual Leadership Conference
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics for continuous improvement.
- Key member of the Employee Committee
- Special assignments as required
**Qualifications**:
- College / University degree or diploma in Communications, English or Journalism or related discipline with 5 to 7 years of experience in communications
- Strong writing, editing and presentation skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels
- Detail-orientated with excellent organization, project management and time management skills
- Event management experience; able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- SharePoint Experience
- Experience managing third-party vendors
- Experience working in a deadline-sensitive environment
- Social media content creation experience (LinkedIn)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Canva
