**How will you contribute?**

Reporting to the Manager, Debates and Publications, the Team Lead, Editing and Publications is responsible for overseeing the publication of the daily edition of the Debates of the Senate and committee transcripts, managing the production of bound volumes, leading staff training, consulting on the Learning Plan for Debates Services, maintaining the Debates Services Form and Style Book, and participating in ongoing administrative functions, including preparing the annual budget and managing day-to-day operations.

In addition, the incumbent is responsible for supervising four positions: two Senior Editors (one English, one French), the Chief of Publications, and the Production Coordinator.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

**Prerequisites**
- Completed university degree or an acceptable combination of education, knowledge and experience related to the position;
- Superior knowledge of editing rules and English grammar;
- Experience in managing editorial processes, including setting priorities, reviewing drafts, and ensuring accuracy and clarity;
- Experience and knowledge of Debates style, legislative language, parliamentary form, and specialized research, writing, and editing skills to ensure accurate publications;
- Familiarity with publication processes and workflows in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong understanding of current domestic and international affairs, as well as parliamentary developments and practices;
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team while managing multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Experience working cross-functionally to deliver publications;
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and resolve administrative issues;
- Proficiency with editing and publishing software;
- Understanding of the Senate's mandate, policies, parliamentary procedures, and relevant rules, acts, and regulations an asset;
- Ability to effectively communicate in both English and French (oral & written).
