MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEMS
Salary
Range - $81,116 - $101,390 per year
1.0 FTE Permanent
The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking
qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Supervisor - Building
Automation Systems. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance & Environmental
Services, the Supervisor will be responsible for achieving optimal energy
performance of HVAC systems through the installation, modification, operation
and maintenance of building automation systems and equipment, identification of
variances from performance benchmarks, and correction of operational inefficiencies
through the appropriate repair, replacement, commissioning and re-commissioning
of mechanical/electrical building systems and components in all Board schools
and facilities in keeping with Facility Services operating and capital budgets.
This may include the need to attend and resolve emergency or urgent situations
outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Certificate of
Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical trade, or three (3) year college
diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Systems Technology or equivalent;
Five (5) years related
experience in the areas of HVAC and building automation systems design,
installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting;
Two (2) years supervisory
experience, preferably in a public sector unionized environment;
Knowledge of programming
for building automation systems;
Experience in energy
conservation retrofits and re-commissioning of HVAC systems to correct
operational inefficiencies and optimize energy performance;
Knowledge of applicable
building codes and regulatory requirements related to mechanical building
systems installation and maintenance;
Excellent understanding
and working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems;
Computer literacy and
ability to work with a variety of computer software programs, such as MS Word,
MS Excel, Outlook, MS Teams;
Leadership and conflict resolution
skills;
Excellent oral and written
communication skills;
Excellent organizational
and time management skills;
must possess a valid driver’s licence;

This is a full-time
permanent position. The regular work year for this position is twelve (12)
months of the year. The compensation range for this twelve (12) month position
is $81,116 to $101,390 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
This position is based on a thirty-five (35) hour work week.
Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all
full-time permanent employees,
even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
