This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package based on experience.

Note that free parking is available at our Montreal (St-Laurent) office, and the office is easily accessible by public transportation. Employees work on a flex schedule (some days in the office and some days remotely from home).

**Role & Responsibilities**

The Merchandising Associate will help support the Merchandising Manager in all functions of the department, including:

- Managing all aspects of product line development, including assortment, pricing, margin, reporting, forecasting, product build and launch.
- Further developing relationships with existing vendors and identifying new potential suppliers and product lines.
- Keeping current with the market and competitive landscape to gain a comprehensive understanding of trends and pricing across the industry.
- Working with the rest of the Marketing team on a marketing/promotional strategy to drive sales.
- Performing sales analysis, and analyzing historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities, in order to make short and long term recommendations to drive the business.
- Being involved with special projects to improve the overall website experience.
- Supporting a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with the rest of the Select Blinds Canada team.

**Requirements**:

- University degree, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business a plus
- 3+ years of retail buying/merchandising experience, with e-commerce experience and/or a past position in window coverings or home décor a big asset
- Strong sense of home décor style and fashion with a good understanding of market conditions & trends
- Excellent communication with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment, and collaborate with cross-functional departments
