At Morrice Transportation, our **Dispatch Team** serves as the first point of contact and communication for all our drivers.

As a **Dispatcher in Training**, and under the guidance of our team of dispatchers, you will learn how to:

- Schedule drivers to facilitate on-time pickup or delivery of loads assigned through our Planning Team.
- Plan routes.
- Determine and communicate driving conditions.
- Relay customer-specific messages.
- Receive, distribute and store required documentation to facilitate expedient cross border shipping.
- Track drivers as they progress through their routes.

**Education/Experience**

Preference will be given to those with completed post-secondary education in a related discipline.

Previous OTR, Regional or Local truck driving is considered an asset.

Proven objective evidence of being an exceptional performer (reference checks required).

**Summary**

As a Dispatcher in Training, you will be essential in coordinating transportation logistics and ensuring timely delivery of freight. Reporting to the Dispatch Supervisor, your role will involve data entry, effective communication, and analysis skills to manage shipping and receiving processes. With a high school diploma or GED required, you will also benefit from post-secondary education in transportation management systems or supply chain. Your proficiency in multi-line phone systems and databases will enhance operational efficiency, making you a vital part of our logistics team. Pay: $17.72-$25.73 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
