**Position Summary**

The Fulfillment Manager reports directly to the President/Founder of RC and leads the Warehouse departments in the day-to-day Fulfillment of Direct to consumer and Business to Business orders. Through the direct reports, the Fulfilment manager also has oversight on both facilities in US and Canada.

The Fulfillment Manager has relevant retail / Ecom (B2B and B2C) work experience leading a team in a Warehouse environment and is familiar with Lean Manufacturing methodologies, working with a continuous improvement mindset, as well as having a natural ability to develop good relationships through coaching and mentorship, basically a real people person. This role has a strong focus on team management, focusing on overall customer satisfaction, and has P&L responsibilities.

The Fulfillment Manager will be on sitefulltime (Monday-Friday, business hours), and love working in a pet-friendly work environment and is responsible for the care and maintenance of the entire building.

On top of the people skills, the Fulfillment Manager must be comfortable reviewing and working with data, metrics and KPIs with strong technical skills using MS Office Suite and ERP/MRP software.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Directs the fulfilment of orders to our customers in both Direct to consumer and Business to business channels in US and Canada
- Oversight on both US and Canadian facilities
- Develops and maintains a strategic plan for the warehouse operations to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility
- Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner
- Works with the Supply Chain Manager to manage the flow of inventories in and out of the warehouse
- Manage the required customs documentation for cross border shipments
- Liaise with customs brokers and officers to ensure shipments are move seamlessly across the border
- Focus and analysis on the most cost-efficient outbound freight and negotiate rates with major carriers as needed
- Responsible to mentor, coach and direct the Warehouse Managers
- Focusing on team management with a customer satisfaction approach
- Manage warehouse budget and report out on department KPIs to leadership team
- Ensures weekly one-on-ones and annual review cycles are conducted for the department
- Ensures the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse ensuring safety protocols are updated as required.
- Responsible for the care and maintenance the office and warehouse
- Other related projects that may be assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**

**Education and Experience**
- Strong warehouse management experience leading a team of 20+
- 5+ years of experience in a management position
- 5+ years of education in Business, Operations, and Facilities Management, with a passion for life-long learning
- Experienced in both B2B/Wholesale and B2C/E-Commerce Warehouse environments

**Knowledge, Abilities and Skills**
- Must have a pet and/or have a love for pets, and be comfortable working in a dog-friendly environment
- Computer proficiencies, including EDI, ERPs, and MS Office Suite, in particular Intermediate to Advanced Excel
- Must have experience using Warehouse Management Systems
- Has adopted lean/continuous improvement processes
- Experienced in implementing new systems and technology into an organization, from needs analysis to sourcing and collaborating with IT and other departments for implementation
- Building management experience, dealing with the upkeep of the building, machinery and attending and ensuring the building is securely locked and alarmed at the end of each day
- Experienced in change management, fostering a positive company culture, and developing and coaching teams,
- Strong business acumen and understanding of budget management, inventory management, costing, and margins
- A pleasant, positive leader with a good personality and strong interpersonal skills who enjoys bringing out the best in people
- Effective communication skills with varied audiences
- Results-oriented, solution-oriented, flexible, adaptable, resourceful, clear decision-maker and problem-solver who enjoys working at both a strategic and tactical level, both big picture and detail-oriented
- Travel might be needed from time to time
