Key Responsibilities- Oversee the receipt, handling, and storage of raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Supervise and manage a team of warehouse associates, ensuring they meet established standards for cost, quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Lead and coach warehouse associates to maintain loading and receiving accuracy, collaborate with supervisors to manage inventory flow, and meet dock schedules.
- Conduct inventory audits to identify and resolve variances, ensuring proper controls are in place, while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- Participate in logistics daily operations reviews, coach associates in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper use of Extended Warehouse Management system, maximizing storage and labor efficiencies.
- Support manager in creating and implementing departmental operating and strategic plans, oversee team development during peak seasons, and manage the hourly employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, timesheets, and performance management.
- Bachelor's/associate degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, operations or relevant on-the-job experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- 2+ years directly or indirectly leading a team of hourly employees.
- Experience in using WMS or labor management system.
- Open availability – flexible and adaptable with schedule, including working holidays, some weekends, and occasional after-hours requirements during peak seasons.
