Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Parent Aide to join our team. The Parent Aide will be an active member of the Prevention Team as a whole, supporting with events and activities as the Director sees fit.

Our Parent Aide will play a pivotal role within the community, which includes working intimately with families, while operating within the family homes. The Parent Aide will provide support, mentorship, and guidance while working with parents and care givers.

Ability to speak Cree would be a definite asset, but not required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to self manage time and schedule, while reporting and communicating clearly with director
- Provide support to team members as needed
- Working with families towards creating healthier and safer home environments
- Assist with preparing materials and resources for events, both educational and cultural in nature
- Supervise children and youth in conjunction with various events
- Collaborate with team members to engage families and broader community with cultural events
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure open channels for developing relationship with children and youth

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with children and youth
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid drivers license & means of transportation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
