Regina Beach, Canada Sandy Steps Child Care Centre Full time

You will be responsible for providing nurturing care and education to young children in a group setting under the supervision of the Center’s Director; in accordance with the goals, curriculum plans and the philosophy and policies of Sandy Steps Child Care Centre. We are hiring for multiple positions and shift times will vary between 6:45am and 6:00pm.

**Duties**
- Develop and implement child-centered programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and social development of children.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety during activities and routines.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities like play, art, reading, and outdoor exploration.
- Assist with meal times, personal hygiene, and toileting as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment, ensuring proper sanitization of toys and materials.
- Implement positive guidance strategies that promote constructive behavior and support social-emotional learning.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with young children in an early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles and play-based learning approaches.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to create and maintain an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
- Clear criminal record check (including vulnerable sector check).
- Familiarity with licensing regulations and standards in early childhood education.

Pay: $15.00-$25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
