- Paminawasowin Child Care Centre is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Educator to join our team of professionals in delivering a high-quality, early learning program. Qualifications: demonstrated knowledge and understanding of age-appropriate development of children, demonstrated ability to work well within a team and independently, communicate effectively, collaborate, and share ideas. Preference will be given to applicants with an ECE certificate or diploma, or equivalency of ECE Level I, II or III.

The University is a unique place of learning specializing in Indigenous knowledge and providing post-secondary education for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students alike within a culturally supportive environment. First Nations University is a federated college of the University of Regina, and its academic programs are accredited through that institution.

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible to provide quality, caring and supportive childcare programming to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years of age and ensuring all regulatory standards are met. The Child Care facility is licensed for up to 90 children, the Early Childhood Educator reports to the Director of the Child Care Centre.

**Key responsibilities for this position include**:
1) Contribute to the ongoing operations of the Centre and assigned duties.

2) Ensure the child’s environment is healthy and safe by following the Child Centre’s procedures

3) Guidance of children’s behavior that encourages positive self-concept and facilitate developmentally
appropriate activities and experiences.

4) Provide positive communication with parents and share progress with parents.

**Education Requirements**:

Individuals will also possess excellent interpersonal skills with parents, colleagues, and community stakeholders, along with a mature and responsible attitude with a willingness to work flexible hours.

**Salary Range**: $29,785.60 - $46,987.20

**Hours of work**:40 hours per week.
