**What You Will Get To Do**
Reporting to and under the direction of the Supervisor of Development Construction, the Construction Inspector I is responsible for but not limited to:
- providing on-site construction inspections of Town projects, capital projects, subdivisions and site plans to ensure compliance with applicable by-laws, regulations and standards;
- inspection of subdivision and siteplans for maintenance and assumption;
- Ensuring that contractors comply with all applicable bylaws, safety regulations and carry out works;
- Ensuring proper construction techniques, quality control and adherence to Town/Region Standards;
- surveying for pre-engineering and construction lay-out;
- assisting with the preparation of payment certificates and contracts by collecting data and documentation for contract implementation; and,
- assisting with other miscellaneous projects/assignments as required.

**What You Bring To Our Team**
As the successful applicant, you must possess:
- a two (2) year post-secondary diploma in Civil Engineering, or related;
- a current O.A.C.E.T.T (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians designation;
- a minimum of two (2) years directly related civil engineering experience, preferably in a municipal environment;
- a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); and
- a valid Class “G” Driver’s Licence maintained in good standing with access to a personal vehicle.
**What We Offer You**
- Salary: $70,283 - $87,818 per annum (Band D)
