AECOM is searching for a Resident Inspector for a full-time position to be based out of one of our Greater Toronto Area locations (Whitby, Markham or Mississauga). Project sites will be within Toronto and Durham regions.

**The responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
+ May assist with training entry-level employees.

+ Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

+ Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

+ Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.

+ Tracks quality assurance progress.

+ Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

Minimum Requirements

+ High school diploma + 4 years of relevant experience in a field role on transportation or water infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Driving license and access to own vehicle

Preferred Qualifications

+ P.Eng or CET designations are an asset

**+ 10+ years of experience with the following**:
+ Managing civil construction projects greater than $2 M

+ Projects of the same type, e.g. odour control facilities, water distribution systems, sewage collection systems, sewage pumping stations, sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects, etc.

+ Construction methods of open cut, watertight closed sheeting, vertical trenching and all other trenchless technologies

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Accuracy with details is essential

+ Experience working around mobile heavy equipment

+ Familiar with materials testing procedures and construction coordination services

+ Ability to read and interpret Civil construction drawings and specifications

+ AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience is an asset

+ Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control (CISEC) is an asset
