As a privately funded organization, Campfire Circle donors make thousands of life-changing experiences possible for Campers throughout the year, all across Ontario.

To help reduce financial barriers for summer staff members, we have funding available to assist with costs related to the job such as: camping equipment/gear, outdoor clothing, training/certifications, and transportation, mileage, or parking. Campfire Circle will be running in-person overnight camp programs at both of our overnight camp locations, and community and day camp programs in the GTA, London, Ottawa and Hamilton.
Do you have experience as a staff or volunteer working with children in a recreational setting? We are searching for **Summer Staff, Program Administration** to join our Summer Staff Team in 2023.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Program Administration & Family Liaison, and working closely various teams across the organization, including program administration, medical, in-hospital, overnight, and volunteer teams, this role will provide support to the program admin team to ensure summer camp programs are reaching as many children and families as possible and is accountable for camper and volunteer administration associated with the Program Department.
During your experience at Campfire Circle you will hone and develop your skills relating to database management, communication with stakeholders and vendors, emotional resilience and compassion, and building personal and professional relationships within a team of like-minded co-workers and volunteers.
**Start Date**:May 1st, 2023
**End Date**:September 1st, 2023
**Rate**:$680/week
*Training/virtual training dates may occur prior to this date and are included in your full contract rate*
**ABOUT YOU**
In accordance with our mandate of creating a caring and safe environment for ill children and their families, we require attestation of childhood vaccinations, updated Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Screening, and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 for all of our staff. We also require TB testing for all our program facing staff. Additionally, all of our staff are required to be currently eligible to work in Canada.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Required Criteria: _
- **Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word**:
- Experience working with a database
- Excellent accuracy and organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Administrative experience
- Experience working in a camp environment
- Current G2 or G class driver’s license, and insurable under Campfire Circle’s driving insurance policy.
- Current police reference check and vulnerable sector screening
- Advantageous Criteria: _
- Working knowledge of CampSite database.
- Experience working for a camp or non-profit organization.
- Relevant education in administration, or related field
- Experience working with volunteers.
- Personal/Professional Characteristics_
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, approachable, flexible and adaptable, enthusiastic, collaborative, detail orientated, excellent oral and written communication, able to meet deadlines, good problem solving skills, able to take ownership of tasks, able to work in team environment, and excellent customer service

- In consideration of the population Campfire Circle serve, the incumbent is a non-smoker.
- This position is based out of our Toronto office.
- Routine weekend commitments, and occasional evenings required
- Will require some travel within Ontario to support camper buses
