**About the MNjcc**:
The Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre is a dynamic hub in downtown Toronto. It provides opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to be active, learn, connect and participate in a wide range of cultural experiences. Rooted in Jewish values, the MNjcc is open to all.

Founded on this site in 1953 the MNjcc is home to a state of the art Fitness Centre, the Al Green Theatre, four schools, four choirs, a wide range of arts and cultural activities, Jewish Life programming, and a robust Active 55+ program. It is a founding member of the Bloor Street Cultural Corridor.

**Short Description of the Position**:
The role of Summer JCamp Staff will support the facilitation of Summer JCamp by engaging with and implementing a stimulating program for children and having open communication with families.

**Schedule**:

- Contract will run from June 26th - August 18th, 2023.
- 37.5 hours a week.
- 8am-5:30pm Monday-Friday.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and organize children in attendance during indoor activities, field trips, outdoor play, and gym times.
- Facilitate a camp program that is age-appropriate, considering multiple levels of abilities.
- Get to know each child individually to instill confidence, encourage creative and cognitive skills and master social skills,
- Swim with the children up to three times a week.
- Constantly supervisor children and adhere to designated camper: staff rations.
- Show enthusiasm for all facets of camp life.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening completed within 6 months of the contract’s start date.
- Current Standard First Aid CPR-C.
- Up-to-date immunization record (TB, Hep B, MMR)
- Staff must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must have an outgoing personality and work well with children.
- Ability to communicate easily with parents.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- must be able to work with a diverse group with differing needs and different abilities.

**Salary and Benefits**:

- $15.50/hour, plus Provincial Wage Enhancement Grant if eligible ($2/hour).
- 2 Personal Emergency Leave Days and sick leave accrued based on a percentage of hours worked. Any leave after that is unpaid.
- Gym membership for the duration of the contract
- Opportunities for additional work at the end of the contract within the Early Childhood Education Department.
