**Salary Range**:Pay listed below is the full amount for the semester and is dependent on the number of students in the class
- Fewer than 8 students = $2,765.70
- 8-14 students = $4,082.82
- 15-21 students = $5,399.52
- 22+ students = $6,728.82

**Work Arrangements**:This part-time sessional instructor position could be based at the New Westminster campus or online depending on operational needs and instructional assignment.

**Emergency Management Divsion (EMD)**:

As an instructor in EMD, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the strategic direction for JIBC’s EMD, thereby making significant contributions to the focus areas of disaster, emergency, and security management within BC. We intend to fill _one or more positions_ _from this posting through a selection process that will include submission of a resume and an interview. Courses may be offered in our fall or winter terms and may be delivered online or face-to-face at our New Westminster campus.

**Primary Responsibilities***:

- Work with program staff and instructional designers to review and update course content and course syllabus minimum two months prior to delivery;
- Update course syllabus and prepare course for delivery, including updating assignment deadlines in Blackboard, settingup groups and discussion threads, etc.;
- Deliver course content in keeping with the course outline and learning outcomes;Establish an environment, whether online or face-to-face, that is supportive to learning;
- Facilitate learning by fostering interaction between learners and self and learners with other learners;
- Encourage critical and reflective thinking;
- Provide effective feedback on and marking/grading of assignments.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in a related discipline;
- Two year’s documented teaching experience;
