**Job Title: Supply Chain Manager**

**Location**:Toronto, Ontario, Canada

**Reporting to**:CEO

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the entire supply chain process for our agricultural business, including sourcing materials, managing logistics, and ensuring that our products meet customer demands. The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the leadership team to create value, reduce risk, and deliver a competitive advantage for our company.

**General Accountabilities**:

- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute a logistics strategy that aligns with the company's short and long-term goals.
- Identify and address any issues that arise within the supply chain, including those related to client feedback, warehouse operations, and vendor relationships.
- Negotiate prices with service providers for warehouse operations and deliveries, while building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors.
- Focus on providing best-in-class service to our customers.
- Drive continuous improvement within the Supply Chain function.
- Lead a team of cross-functional team members to manage the profitability of the agricultural business.
- Coach and develop team members and lead initiatives.

**Key Accountability - Manage Ocean Freight Business (40%)**:

- Optimize logistics processes by working with freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of products/raw materials.
- Establish and maintain relationships with shipping companies, such as Maersk.
- Develop standard operating procedures specific to our clients or overall business.
- Conduct risk analysis and mitigate potential issues.
- Evaluate transit time and service quality for each lane and make adjustments to shipping methods as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to track shipping progress and make necessary changes to the business plan.

**Key Accountability - Analyze and Minimize Shipping Costs (40%)**:

- Work with the finance team to create and manage budgets, play a critical role in P&L reviews and strategic planning/forecasting.
- Manage total supply chain costs for the region and strive to achieve the lowest delivered cost of goods.
- Maintain and improve logistics metrics (KPIs).
- Develop a reporting structure for logistics.
- Identify strategic initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
- Focus on effective production planning and inventory control.

**Key Accountability - Provide Agile Support to the Senior Leadership Team (20%)**:

- Willing and able to take on a variety of projects to provide support and leadership.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of existing business, prepare recommendations and implement solutions.
- Resolve exceptions to daily operations and maintain contingency plans for time-sensitive operations.
- Possesses 7-10 years of experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Possesses 3-5 years of senior leadership and direct management
- Has an entrepreneurial attitude and takes ownership of wins and losses.
- Possesses a curious and exploratory mindset to understand situations and people.
- Strong project and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with cross-functional/multicultural teams.
- Proven ability to work within diverse/multicultural teams and bridge cultural gaps.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high ambiguity.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Business, or a similar field is desired.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $52,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
