**Nitta Gelatin, a multi-site manufacturing company, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our Toronto, Canada team.**

Our
**Supply Chain Manager** will coordinate, organizes, and oversee all activities involved in the production planning, blending, packaging, receiving, and shipping of the company’s goods. This is a 100% on-site position. Some duties include but are not limited to:

- Lead the sales and operations planning (S&OP) to align the company’s diverse functions while balancing supply and demand to give executives a comprehensive overview of the business.
- Negotiate and coordinate with 3rd parties’ warehouses, shipping companies, tollers, and co-product customers.
- Monitors the performance of tollers and shipping companies, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Overseeing the blending and packaging, developing KPI’s and SOP’s to insure production and customer delivery performance targets are met.
- Collaborates with procurement, production, and sales to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
- Analyses current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Collaborate with Human Resources to create and maintain a culture of accountability and ensure adequate training of all employees and encourage a positive approach to work.
- Must follow food safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Engineering or Business Degree Required, MBA preferred.
- 5-10 years previous experience as a Supply Chain Manager is required.
- Able to develop high levels of credibility and positive professional working relationships with employees, peers, and executive team.
- Must be able to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel required 10-15 % as needed.
