**Overview**:
Pembina is currently recruiting an Operator to join the team in the Oil Sand Business Unit. The Position reports to the South Area Foreman in Drayton Valley and is responsible for providing technical support on maintenance and commissioning of old and new equipment. The Operator position is geared towards those who are hardworking, self-motivated, and eager to be part of a strong operations team.

Pembina is one of Canada's largest oil sands and heavy oil pipeline operators and the Oil Sands Business Unit operates one of the largest merchant terminal businesses in western Canada. These combined assets allow us to provide long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers

**Responsibilities may include but not limited to**:

- Provide technical support on new projects and management of change (MOC);
- Assist with installation, commissioning, start up, and maintenance of new equipment;
- Responsible for after hour Call Outs responding to equipment and/or operational problems;
- Supervise contractors;
- Perform equipment and equipment system inspections and routine maintenance of facility equipment;
- Input work orders, isolations, lockouts, and safe work permits for the facilitation of maintenance activities;
- Operate local pumps, valves, pipeline pigging systems and other facility equipment;
- Assist on new projects and commissioning activities;
- Assist and respond to Alberta one calls in the Drayton Valley area;
- Perform product quality and measurement related tasks such as Product sampling and meter proving; and
- Participate and support an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace.

**Qualifications**:

- Electrical, Instrumentation, or mechanical experience would be considered an asset;
- Industry experience in pipeline field operations would be an asset;
- A High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication;
- Working knowledge and experience with SAP would be an asset;
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; and

This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.

Pembina’s Flexible Work Standard provides the option for eligible employees to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
