**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Superintendent on our team. Mancal Energy Inc. is a well-established oil and gas company with a proven track record of successful exploration and building core operating areas through organic drilling complemented with strategic acquisitions. The Operations Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all field operations while ensuring a safe, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally compliant standard. This role involves managing daily activities while coordinating with various teams, with a focus on operation effectiveness. The role requires motivational, team and situational leadership, technical expertise and organizational skills to take the Company forward.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s goals and industry best practices.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all processes run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide development opportunities to field staff, including foremen, operators, and technicians.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, optimization and cost reductions.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Schedule and oversee asset integrity and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition to minimize downtime.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers and contractors.
- Accountable for managing a high operational standard including safe operating procedures, start-up/shut-down processes, Management of Change (MOC) standards with support from the Operations and Facility group.
- Provide input into developing and managing operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize performance.
- Track expenses and report on budget performance.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards.
- Take a lead role in the Companies HSE Management and HSE culture.
- Lead the response to any operational emergencies or incidents.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, landowners, and community representatives.
- Represent the company at industry meetings and conferences.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
To meet the challenge of this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, self-starter who works well in high levels of autonomy.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas field operations, with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- PTECH or PENG designation is preferred or technical diploma.
- Basic First Aid - Level A CPR, H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, Ground Disturbance for workers and preferred supervisors, Incident Command Training and Experience including ICS 100 & 200,
- Gas plant experience is required.
- Experience and training with comprehensive competency-based training system Experience with gas plant operations, oil batteries and field facilities required.
- Ability to work in various field/environmental conditions and travel to sites as needed.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of staff.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Must be able to multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines.
- Possess troubleshooting skills with an ability to make timely and consistent decisions on a broad variety of topics.
- Strong software and computer literacy, comfortable learning new systems.
