Outside Sales Representative

**Job Title: Outside Sales Representative (IS)**
**Job Type**: Full-time direct hire
**Job Location**: Vanier, Quebec City (Onsite)
**Required**:
This role aims to maximize sales from a selected clientele while generating business from new and existing accounts.
The primary responsibilities include fostering relationships, ensuring optimal customer service, and coordinating between the company and its customers.
**Primary Job Duties**:
- Conduct regular personal visits to clients, fostering business development, advising on pricing and services, and processing orders.
- Resolve customer issues, collaborating with **inside sales, credit department, **and **warehouse for issue resolution**.
- Coordinate customer purchases with the **inside sales department**, following up as necessary.
- Analyze the customer base for further opportunities and develop new accounts.
- Prepare sales forecasts and review results with the Regional Manager regularly.
- Monitor client creditworthiness and report irregularities to the credit department and Regional Manager.
- Participate in the Company Health and Safety Program and undertake required training.
**Secondary Job Duties**:
- Assist in the **warehouse **and **order desk, preparing quotations **within our **ERP system** as needed.
- Participate in special sales functions and trade shows.
- Assist with territorial planning to maximize sales calls efficiently.
- Stay updated on Company products and services.
- Liaise with vendor representatives, attend training programs as required, and participate in our training program.
- Prepare and generate reports as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual may be required for some locations).
- High accuracy with attention to detail.
- Self-starter, well-organized, and able to multitask.
- Willingness to travel daily, with some overnight travel.
- Ability to meet all travel requirements within and outside of Canada.
- Must be able to meet and entertain clients as required.
- Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Computer literate with good mathematical skills.
- **Plan **and **Blueprint reading** is an asset.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
**Education & Experience**:
- College Diploma in **Sales/Marketing, Business Administration**, or a related discipline.
- Four (4) years of experience in a **customer service/sales capacity,** preferably with background knowledge in **fire protection, plumbing, heating, **and **mechanical/industrial pipe **and **fittings**.
- A combination of education and experience.
