Reporter-Editor - Broadcast/Newscaster (Part-Time)

**Responsibilities**:

- Write hourly National News roundups wrapping up the top stories
- Prepare and deliver a solid, contemporary newscast.
- This position involves shift work, including evenings and weekends and the number of hours worked will vary.
- The position also will provide the opportunity to work some shifts in the National Audio Studio.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Prefer applicants with 2-to-5 years of ON Air experience - preferably Radio.
- A flair for writing broadcast copy with an attention to detail
- Excellent knowledge of digital media, specifically audio and broadcast
- Familiarity with Audio software, preferably Burli
- Solid news judgment and ability to make effective decisions quickly and under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently

- Rédiger des synthèses horaires résumant les grandes nouvelles nationales.
- Préparer et livrer un bulletin de nouvelles solide et moderne.
- Ce poste prévoit des quarts de travail, y compris en soirée et les week-ends avec un nombre variable d’heures de travail.
- Ce poste offrira aussi la possibilité de remplir quelques quarts de travail au studio audio national.

**Compétences et expérience**:

- Habileté à rédiger du texte destiné à la radio avec un souci du détail.
- Excellente connaissance des médias numériques, particulièrement l’audio et la radiodiffusion.
- Connaissance des logiciels audio, de préférence Burli.
- Solide jugement journalistique et habileté à prendre des décisions efficaces rapidement et sous la pression de délais serrés.
- Habileté à travailler de façon autonome.
