KIN-DIR Education Foundation is a not-for-profit, Alberta Education approved, private ECS operator in Calgary and area. We screen, assess, and treat developmental delays and disabilities in children 2 years 8 months old to kindergarten age. Our team consists of therapists (Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists) and educators specializing in early childhood development. We also work with families regarding challenging behaviors, developmental tasks, and positive parenting. The services are provided in a variety of settings such as preschools, daycares and in-home.

We are looking for a part-time to full-time Psychometrist to join our team for the school year 2023-2024. Duties include but not limited to:

- Developing and implementing a referral procedure for all students to access psychometric testing, diagnosis, or other consultive evaluation
- Conducting, in consultation with the supervising Psychologist, Level B and Level C psychoeducational testing including evaluation of cognition, achievement, adaptive, and behavioral functioning
- Preparing report for tested students including general report formatting, table creation, basic interpretive statements, and basic recommendations in consultation with the supervising Psychologist
- Editing and adding test interpretation, diagnoses, or formal recommendations as provided by the supervising Psychologist
- Joining family feedback sessions
- Upon request from the supervising Psychologist, providing feedback to the partner programs and implementing intervention as indicated by the supervising Psychologist to remediate presenting problems as determined within the assessment
- Ordering any new testing materials as needed

Qualifications:

- Completion of bachelor's degree in Psychology from an accredited university, and currently enrolled in a master’s program (MSc or MEd)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children (birth to 9 year old)
- Knowledge of Psychological and Psycho-educational testing
- Comfortable working in a variety of settings, and driving in and around Calgary and area
- Valid Driver’s Licence and a reliable vehicle (mileage is reimbursed at the current CRA mileage rate)
- Current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search Disclosure
- Clear Intervention Record Check
- Current Child Care First Aid and CPR
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
