- As a Corporate Consultant with the Business Planning Division of the Corporate Planning and Performance (CPP) Business Unit, you will provide program management support, including the cross-corporate coordination and engagement to advance division initiatives or portfolios of work, which may include planning and coordination for The City's four-year Service Plans and Budgets and annual Adjustments process, progressing the maturity of the service-based organization, or integrating climate accountability and Triple Bottom Line reporting into the service plans and budgets process. You may also be involved in other corporate wide projects related to the Business Planning Division and other emerging strategic initiatives.

This position is associated with work that is high-profile, deadline-driven and within an environment that can often be ambiguous. As such, applicants should be prepared for a position that is fast-paced and high intensity. This work must be completed with an understanding of the Council's and public's interest in, and attention to, the Service Plans and Budgets and the policies associated with them. Primary duties include:

- Lead and/or support project teams on various service planning and budgeting initiatives across the organization.
- Lead corporate processes to create materials for Administration and Council decision making.
- Support in the preparation of key deliverables such as reports and presentations for senior leaders, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and Council.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement strategic improvements for service planning and budgeting.
- Establish and manage relationships with various groups within the organization, including facilitating agreement and practicing informal influence to ensure alignment and coordination among interested parties.

**Qualifications**
- A master's degree with 4 years' relevant experience; OR a degree with 8 years' relevant experience.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge and experience in SharePoint would be considered an asset.
- Experience in writing complex reports and presentations to senior leaders, such as the ELT and/or Council.
- Ability to adapt within a changing environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to deal effectively with organizational dynamics and politics, and an understanding of the complexities of decision making in the public sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required including the ability to build trust, influence and resolve conflicts within a team environment.
- Strong project planning, project management, consulting skills and/or project team leadership skills.

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
-work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
